The London-based Singaporean handbag designer, Ethan Koh gained global recognition for his elusive specially designed handbags. Modelled by some of the most famous personalities around the world such as Hailey Bieber and Sofia Richie, these trademark handbags will now be receiving a permanent home in Singapore.

These exclusive bags are marked with a signature hedgehog emblem that despite its simplicity has left a significant mark on luxury bag enthusiasts around the world. Prices for his bags range from US$4,000 (S$5,593) to US$25,000 (S$34,953), and they often fashion unique designs that can’t be paralleled. A significant part of his business comes from customised orders which are contrived specifically for the individual and can cost up to US$45,000 (S$62,915). These unique pieces are an ultimate in exclusivity when custom ordered.
The rationale behind setting up his first permanent gallery on home ground is to accommodate the rising demand for exclusive luxury handbags amongst consumers in Asia. Moreover, he also mentioned that with Singapore being his birthplace, and his design DNA often being inspired by nature and the tropics, it seems only natural to launch an atelier on local grounds.
Access to the Ethan K gallery is strictly by-appointment-only and the address remains a mystery with details remaining unconfirmed. The only available hint is that it is located in a heritage building in the River Valley area. Ethan K has also added in an Instagram post on 27 February that similar to their other galleries, each appointment only accommodates a maximum of 3 guests to ensure the optimum experience.
