Returning for its 27th edition, the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) is back with the best of contemporary European cinema.
It has been heralded as one of Singapore’s longest running foreign film festivals, and this year is no exception with 27 films from 27 countries across Europe being showcased at the Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium, National Gallery Singapore from 11 May – 21 May 2017.
The opening film for the festival is set to be Goodbye Berlin (2016), a coming-of-age comedy drama about two teens, one German and the other a Russian immigrant, who embark on a road trip of rebellious independence. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Faith Akin, this is definitely one to look out for.
Alongside this, there will be many other European films in the 27th EUFF lineup including book to film adaptations such as, Problemski Hotel (2015) from Belgium and Beyond Sleep (2016) from The Netherlands.
