I get it, airfares are expensive and not everybody wants to pay for a ticket to Japan to catch the cherry blossoms. But I believe many of us wish to be able to see it at least once in our lifetime.
If you’re not too picky and are willing to look past the fact that you’re still in Singapore, then the Sakura Matsuri at Gardens by the Bay Flower Dome will definitely get you screaming “beautiful” in Japanese.
The exhibition will be set against an anime-inspired backdrop, mimicking the beauty of Japan; this is all done to make you feel like you’ve been transported to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Here’s an idea: you can go on a lovely date with your partner as you stroll along the picturesque display, admiring the flowers and snapping some selfies. A pity that you couldn’t do it on Valentine’s Day though, as the display will only be up from 16 March to 8 April 2018.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t spend a perfect day just soaking in the gorgeous visuals; it’ll still be romantic. So there you go, you can thank me later for the date idea.
