I thank all healthcare workers and those working in hospitals during this pandemic. I hope that when this pandemic ends, they would be able to have a well-deserved break and finally be able to process the franticness of this pandemic.
In a bid to give healthcare workers what they deserve, Qatar Airways has decided to give 100,000 free return air tickets in the form of promo codes, with travel tickets redeemed valid until 10 December 2020. The tickets will be fully flexible, this means that ticket holders will be able to change their date and destination for an unlimited number of times for free. What’s great about this giveaway is that it not only considers healthcare workers but their companions as well.
Each healthcare worker can redeem up to two economy tickets and travel to any destination within the Qatar Airways network. As this giveaway is opened internationally, there will be a limit on the number of promo codes given to each country. To ensure fairness and full transparency, countries will receive a daily allocation of tickets, which is dependent on the population size of the nation.
Medical professions that are eligible for redemption include doctors, nurses, medical practitioners, paramedics, pharmacists, lab technicians, and medical researchers. Redemption applications close on 18 May 2020. So far, 40,000 tickets have already been redeemed.
