Organised by the National Library Board’s Arts & Culture team, PRESSPLAY is an annual youth festival that is running for the fourth time in Singapore now. Offering a whole slew of art programmes from 14 January through 18 March 2017, the aim of this event is to expose youths to the local art scene and hopefully, inspire them.
To make art more accessible, they have collaborated with local studios, independent artists, as well as design collectives. This is where attendees can handcraft trinkets at the artisan workshops and learn more about the works of the local creative community, all at once.
On 18 March, a special closing event called LASTPLAY will also be organised at the Central Public Library from 9.30pm – 12.30am. There, youths can listen to performances by local musicians and try out the artisanal taser booths available.
If you’re interested in gaining a better appreciation for the arts, then perhaps it’s time to PRESSPLAY and join in the fun!
Date & Time: 14 January – 18 March 2017, 2pm – 11.45pm
