In lieu of Nike’s Energy Week beginning today, from 6 to 16 November 2019, Nike Singapore will release a new pair of exclusive sneakers at 10 am each day.
Kicking off Energy Week are the Air Jordan Couture I’s (S$249) and the Air Jordan I Mid Starfish (S$179) sneakers.
A classic model inspired by renowned Basketball player Michael Jordan, the Air Jordan Couture I’s come in sleek black with a bold red racing stripe wrapped around the side—an inspiration from the ‘Banned’ colourway.
Instead of the usual soft suede or tumbled leather that Air Jordan’s are known for, the Couture I’s bring a luxurious take to a classic silhouette with a shiny, smooth flat leather.
The sole is tinted, giving it a vintage look. The inner lining has a classy satin finish as well.
A staple and popular brand in streetwear, it’s no wonder this sneaker drop sold out within minutes of its release.
The Air Jordan I Mid Starfish is inspired by the original Air Jordan model from 1985.
In contrast to the Couture I’s sleek finish, the Mid Starfish has the standard leather and synthetic upper, focusing on durability. It also maintains its trademark solid rubber outsole.
The bright orange will add a solid pop of colour to any outfit. It’s currently still available on the Nike.com website and retails for S$179.
