From now till February 2018, those travelling from or into Singapore Changi Airport will be able to make an exclusive tax-free purchase of whisky at DFS, before it gets released to the rest of the world.

The new Macallan Quest Collection comprises four different single malts, aimed at celebrating the distillery’s ‘passionate and tireless quest for oak’, which will replace The Macallan 1824 Collection.

There’s the namesake Macallan Quest, a pale whisky that’s citrusy and carries notes of vanilla, making it probably the sweetest and most approachable of all.

The Macallan Lumina is a spicier whisky that has an aroma that signals ginger and soft, dried oak.

The Macallan Terra is a medium-bodied creation that coats your palate in deep flavours of sweet, dried fruit. Lastly, the Macallan Enigma, as the name suggests, is a rich, powerful yet elegant drink that leaves a potent and fragrant oak finish.

Whisky lovers, time to buy those plane tickets (or hound a friend for a favour).
