This Lunar New Year, KFC China is launching a limited-edition collection of Pokémon toys.
The collection was released on 10 January 2020 and features four different toy designs. A must-have for Pokémon toy collectors.
Can you imagine these cute figurines decorating your mantle? Or being displayed in a clear display case? I too am very tempted to get my hands on one of these toys.
The four different designs feature ‘Pichu sitting on a Magikarp Lantern’, ‘Prosperous Eevee’, ‘Lunar New Year Pikachu’ and ‘Spring Time Pikachu’
‘Pichu sitting on a Margikarp Lantern’ features a set of cheery-looking Pichus sat atop a Margikarp Lantern. ‘Prosperous Eevee’ features an Eevee with a pink star band around one of its ears and a gold coin which resembles the old Chinese coin, fang chuan (方穿).
The other 2 designs in this collection are Picachus in different poses. ‘Lunar New Year Pickachu’ shows Pickachu all dressed up in a full red Chinese New Year outfit, topped with circular oriental details on its top. Gold detailing rims its hat and top. What makes this particular design especially adorable is the mini Pickachu on wheels that’s tethered with a red string to the main Pickachu.
‘Spring Time Pickachu’ has Pickachu in a mid-jump position connected to an opaque pink base with pink hearts decorating its sides.
Even though this is a China-exclusive, there are listings on Airforv, the service that helps people buy overseas products with the help of travellers. These adorable toys are listed on Carousell as well.
The listings on Carousell both offer the whole entire set for S$80 or S$20 for each figurine. On Airfrov, the whole set is going on pre-order for S$36, however, the pre-order seems to be closing soon.
