Our love for anything and everything Japanese is everlasting as our eyes are drawn to anime masterpieces and our stomachs constantly growl for a hearty bowl of ramen.
From 4 to 5 August 2018, Japan Park Singapore (JPSG) will take this passion to the next level with the opportunity to groove, taste and admire the best offerings from 47 prefectures of Japan at Suntec Convention Centre.
Organised by Amuse Entertainment Singapore, JPSG is Singapore’s first all-in-one experience of Japan and will be assembled into six zones: WA-Shiok Gourmet Festa, Discover Japan, Lifestyle & Technology, Omakase Stage, Kids Sports Challenge and CharaExpo Mini.
Pig out on heavenly event-exclusive menus like wagyu sandwiches and fruit sake whipped up by popular restaurants by WA-Shiok Gourmet Festa, or battle against fellow gamers with contents such as “BanG Dream!” and “Cardfight!! Vanguard” at the CharaExpo Mini zone.
If you’re a techie, head straight to Lifestyle & Technology to ogle at intricately crafted gadgets.
At the JPSG press conference, Tomotaka Takahashi, a professor and creator of Robi, introduced us to the humanoid robot that even understands Singlish and has swag dance moves. Imagine seeing that at the event.
For dynamic live performances, the Omakase Stage zone will feature artists like Shamisen x Rock duo KUNI-KEN and the beloved voice actress of character Ushigome Rimi of BanG Dream! anime series, Rimi Nishimoto.
Parents can bring children to the Kids Sports zone for mini soccer games and other activities to practice their agility and sportsmanship. You can even purchase travel packages to Japan on the spot and gain valuable insights at Discover Japan.
I could go on and on about this sensational two-day festival, but the main point is — if you’re a die-hard fan of Japan, all 47 prefectures will be waiting for you to make your dreams come true.
