Who run the world? You know the answer, it’s GIRLS!
This March 2018, celebrate International Women’s Month at The Projector with a series of women in films kicking ass.
Fire up some gurrrl power, with Mad Max: Fury Road. Watch Charlize Theron in her full black-and-chrome glory, as she fights back against the tyrant.
Don’t forget to catch Certain Women, a film about three women in Northwestern America whose lives meet in the most powerful and moving ways. Corporate struggles and family drama play out in strangely familiar ways — many of us have probably experienced one or the other in real-life too.
Or take a look at the diverse lives and struggles of women in these critically-acclaimed films: Lady Bird, The Florida Project, and Beauty and the Dogs. At times poignant and sometimes traumatising, follow the characters on their relatable life stories.
It can be hard being a woman in this man’s world, so this March, let’s celebrate our bravery and courage. Grab your girlfriends, and find out just how powerful and wonderful us women can be!
