We’ve seen American brands like Coca Cola and McDonalds appearing on apparels, shoes and accessories. But who would expect, an Indomie + Air Jordan sneaker combination on our doorstep?
Unfortunately, said custom sneakers are only available via preorder with the sneaker artisan, Jonas Gustana, or @mr.s.custom– it’s not an official collaboration. With an initial opening order of 20 pairs, there’s already a three-week waiting list for these unique creations.
Each pair of Indomie X Air Jordans cost RP3.3 million (approximately S$330) to design and complete and is available to ship worldwide, as long as you’re willing to fork out the shipping amount! For orders in Indonesia, these sneakers will be shipped out from Jakarta to avoid high costs.
Good news for Singaporeans though! @mr.s.custom does meet-ups here so there’s no extra waiting time.
Although this partnership isn’t official, Indomie and fashion collaborations aren’t new to the market. In 2018, Indofood also worked with The Goods Dept. Indonesia to launch five fashion collections consisting of apparel and tote bags for the #HypeAbis campaign.
While they’re currently only creating Indomie X Air Jordan sneakers, @mr.s.custom says that they’re considering adding an Indomie X Air Force 1 design to their collection in the future.
I guess now, you can have your Indomie and wear it too.
