Fancy staying at a resort in the Maldives? And the icing on the cake; it’s all-expenses-paid with this internship.
Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is offering a two-week summer internship at their resort in the Maldives where they have a turtle rescue centre, named the Olive Ridley Project Marine Turtle Rescue Centre.
Some of the intern’s daily responsibilities will include feeding turtles, cleaning their holding tanks, attending rescue missions to collect turtles in need and interacting with guests who visit the centre.
Coco Collection has promised that the intern will gain valuable veterinary experience from one of the UK’s leading specialist turtle veterinary surgeons, Dr Claire Petros, the lead veterinarian at the Olive Ridley Project.
How do you get this dream internship? Applicants must submit a 2 to 3-minute video and a 500-word cover letter explaining why they think they would be a good fit for the role. They do not need to have previous experience but must be over the age of 18 and keen to work in a related field. It is open to all nationalities, with a negotiable start date in August. Applications will close on 1 July.
The lucky winner will then be flown out to the resort and will stay in a beautiful guest villa and have full board benefits at Cowrie restaurant.
You will also be able to go on a sunset cruise and a guided group snorkelling trip in the stunning Baa Atoll. You will not get paid for this internship, but the opportunity and experience you will gain? The full board offer is more than worth it.
