You’ve probably seen Faux Fayc around, a Singapore-based professional cosmetics brand founded in 2014 by two lady-bosses. The brand has since embarked on a journey to empower women through enhancing their beauty with a little help from make-up.
Seeing as how crowded Sephora outlets always are, Singaporeans clearly love their make-up and Faux Fayc is paving the way for the local beauty industry with their innovative and affordable products. Faux Fayc actively collaborates with other local labels like 13rushes, a brand of cosmetic brushes.
I thought I’d try a few products out for myself, and here’s the verdict:
This set is easily mistaken for mascara because its name is a little misleading. It is not mascara, but a set of gel and fibres that will help you up your mascara game.
The Transplanting Gel Tube contains collagen, which protects and prepares your lashes for the fibres that you are about to apply. If you are not in a hurry, let your mascara dry first before the application to get more volume. Once you’re ready, apply the transplanting gel generously onto the tips of your lashes.
The Natural Fibres Tube is made of dried green tea extracts — how cool is that? It looks just like natural hair too. Quickly add the fibres to your lashes while the gel is still wet.
After you add the fibres to your lashes, apply the transplanting gel again to secure the fibres in place. Some of the fibres may fall off your lashes so be careful during the application. Improper application may lead to clumping.
Apply as much transplanting gel and natural fibres until you achieve your desired length.
As you can see, the Fauxlash Mascara Duo Set dramatically increases the length and thickness of your lashes by 300%! It does resemble falsies with its wide-eye effect but they are way more comfortable.
Its lightweight formula is so effective that you barely feel it but you can definitely see the difference. It is smudge-proof too so you can spend the rest of your day without worries.

The Fauxshade Liquid is a highly pigmented and creamy gel-like liquid eyeshadow that is fast and easy-to-wear. You can easily blend the formula out with a brush.
Distribute the liquid evenly over the entire eyelid and then build coverage to add shine until you reach your desired intensity. Alternatively, you can line your eyelid to achieve a glitter eyeliner look.
The glitter in this eyeshadow look isn’t over-the-top, making it perfect for both casual and formal occasions. The shadows last the whole day without fading or creasing.
I am always on the hunt for good quality matte liquid lipsticks to add to my ever-growing collection. The size of Fauxstix Liquid Xctasy Mini Lipstick is perfect for me as I am always struggling to finish my liquid lipsticks before they expire.
I tried Dope and Pot, two matte shades. If you are fair-skinned, the mauve pink hues of Dope will complement your pale skin. In contrast, Pot is nude with a faint orange tinge and is suitable for most skin tones.
The lipstick promised long-lasting full coverage. There were some tiny flakes of the lipstick that floated in my cup but it did not leave stains on my cup, which I was really happy about because lipstick stains are obnoxious.
I did not have to reapply as often as I usually would when I use NYX’s liquid lipsticks and I was really impressed about how my lips were comfortable for the whole day!

Still not convinced that these products are the right fit for you? Faux Fayc’s products used to be exclusively available online but in June 2016, the founders opened their flagship brick and mortar store in Plaza Singapura because they understood the importance for customers to try out the products first-hand.
Faux Fayc’s products are definitely on par with the international brands out there. So show your support for this local make-up brand today by heading down to Plaza Singapura to check it out!
