When it comes to lodging options overseas, we have all heard of the typical hotel rooms, hostels and caravans. Introducing a refreshing form of accommodation into the mix, Casa de Montana in Khao Yai National Park (Thailand) has just launched the Bubble Igloo, a transparent pod fit for you to live in.
Similar to the renowned Bubble Hotel in Bali, the Bubble Igloo insulates you from the outside world while giving you the feeling of staying outdoors. But what differentiates it even further is the incredible experience and facilities present in the pod that tourists are scrambling to head there for.
Featuring a canopy bed with curtains, an armchair, a 49-inch television and a full bathroom with a shower, it serves to give you the comfort that you seek when you travel. A coffeemaker and an indoor jacuzzi are also available in the pod – yes I repeat, indoor jacuzzi.
For couples, it is one option for your romantic getaway where you can stargaze from inside the pod. Don’t worry about the pod deflating and ruining your night; there is an air pump that runs non-stop to ensure that the pod remains inflated.
The check-in and check-out timings, at 4pm and 10am respectively, may leave you slightly disappointed. But it’s a pretty good reason for you to make the best use of your time there.
Priced at THB 2,500 (approximately SGD 113) per night for two people, including breakfast, it is definitely worth it. Given the quality of facilities and the unique experience amidst the mountains, it will make for an affordable getaway to remember.
