Here’s something unusual: living in a hobbit resort. Baan Suan Noi Resort’s architecture is inspired by The Shire which is a Hobbit settlement in J. R. R. Tolkien’s Lord of The Rings series.
Located in Khao Yai, Thailand, Baan Suan Noi has modelled its location into real-life hobbit homes nestled in hills with cute, lil’ round doors similarly detailed to its depiction in the movies.

Don’t worry about living like medieval times – these rooms are fully air-conditioned and have free wifi! Guests can rent bicycles to get around the area, which includes a lake, BBQ area, and a farm.
Guests at Baan Suan Noi Resort can enjoy the snacks and drinks from the free minibar in their room too.

Rates for the hobbit rooms start from THB1000/night (approx. S$44) for two guests. Large rooms can accommodate up to eight guests and range from THB2500-THB4000 (approx. S$110 – S$176).

If you really want to get into character, the hotel has plenty of suitably themed cosplay outfits for you to try on! Their collection includes costumes from the Disney, Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter and many more so you can really live the part.

Fans of the diminutive Hobbit race are sure to love staying at Baan Suan Nou Resort.

It’s such a nice change of scenery compared to the typical, modern hotels that we’d usually stay at during our travels. You might stay in a Hobbit’s home, but Baan Suan Noi resort makes sure every modern amenity is available in their rooms too.
