When AQUA said they were “gonna last forever”, no one figured that they’d still be around after 20 years. Don’t worry, these words aren’t illusions of your fantasy either – furreal, AQUA is back, in the flesh, and performing in Singapore this 25 November 2017!
For all you young uns who have no idea who I’m talking about and why we should be excited, the self-named Cartoon Heroes brought us songs like “Turn Back Time”, “Around The World”, “My Oh My” and of course the iconic pop hit “Barbie Girl” (c’mon, who doesn’t know that one?) making up parts of the soundtrack of our childhood alongside A*Teens, A1, Westlife and S Club 7.
Since the 2001 disbanding, AQUA has picked special occasions to tour, and it being the year “Barbie Girl” turns 20… Singapore is both honoured and thrilled to be one of their stops in their massive international world tour. VIP tickets ($248) include front row seats, a post-show Meet & Greet and a group photo with the band.
It’s time to get those crop tops and platform sandals on again, let’s re-live the time when life in plastic really was fantastic.
