As we approach the end of the year, many of us are looking for the perfect vacation spot. However, a trip to the Maldives may not exactly be the nearest, but here’s where I offer an alternative in Southeast Asia.
Enter the z9 Resort in Kanchanaburi Thailand, based off Mount Sinai, the sanctuary that Moses visited to recharge his body and soul.
The eco-friendly resort consists of only twenty units, making it an incredibly private affair. All of these units float on the sea, making it the perfect location to relax with your loved ones as you enjoy picturesque views.
These twenty units are further split into two different kinds of rooms—South the scene and Escape North.
The South the scene rooms are perfect for two and come with full amenities. These houses overlook the sea and the mountain, making it the perfect scenery during sunset.
The Escape North rooms are slightly bigger at 50sq feet, and they also overlook the horizon—definitely the place to rejuvenate yourself.
Prices at the Z9 resort start at ฿4,500 (S$203) a night for South The Scene, and ฿6,600 (S$297) a night for Escape North. While the prices may be a little steep as compared to other places in Thailand, it is important to remember that you are saving yourself a plane ticket to the Maldives, and you still get to appreciate views that you will remember for a lifetime.
Prices: ฿4,500 ( approx. S$203) (South The Scene) , ฿6,600 (approx. S$297) (Escape North)
