The inventors of cup noodles are back at it again. This time, Nissin has launched a new unique flavour called Korean Army Stew which is sold exclusively in Singapore.
Armed with a smoky flavour and a balance of umami with spiciness, the Korean Army Stew cup noodle saves you the trouble of going to a Korean restaurant when you can just pop one open on your couch.
Nissin has been known to be pretty generous with their ingredients and the Korean Army Stew delivers the same standard – This cup noodle comes with Kimchi in addition to chicken, egg, cabbage and green onions.
Hints of sourness and smokiness from the soup does come through after each mouthful of Korean Army Stew soup. Could be spicier though, but that’s just me.
Of course, this isn’t as luxurious as having an entire Budae Jjigae 부대찌개 pot with baked beans, luncheon meat and sausage, but this Army Stew cup noodle also retails for around S$1.50, so big difference right there versus paying S$30.
Nissin Cup Noodles Korean Army Stew is available at all major retail outlets islandwide in Singapore.
Price: Around S$1.50 per cup in major supermarkets
