If it’s anything that will win the hearts of the Instagram generation, it’s smartphones with cutting-edge cameras.
I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and chanced upon a friend’s review of the Huawei P30 Pro (S$1,398) before it was released to the public.
The first picture was a wide angle, non-edited picture and thought it wasn’t anything much to shout about. But when Ali featured the zoom shots, it was as if my thumb had a mind of its own and it started to swipe back and forth between the pictures.
What caught my attention was the SuperZoom Lens’ ability to zoom up to 50X and still remained sharp to a T. If anything, it still looked perfect having very little noise. Need a shot from across the street? Consider it done.
The Huawei’s 30P Pro will be the most convenient travelling companion; sometimes you just don’t have time to explore every nook and cranny, that’s when the optical zoom comes in handy. Just pause for a second, zoom in, snap and you’re good to go.

Do note that Huawei 30P will only go up to 30X optical zoom, while the Huawei 30P Pro goes up to 50X digital zoom.
I’m absolutely sold, and I guess it’s time to bid my trusty iPhone goodbye too until Apple starts catching up with their competitors. Hopefully.
