If you’re looking for a head-to-toe comprehensive rejuvenation, G.Spa will be your next go-to spa and recreational hub where you can cast your cares aside while the staffs and facilities pamper you silly.
Located at Guillemard Road, the spa is open 24 hours, so you could hop by at any time of the day at your convenience, knowing you’d be in good hands.
The entrance of G.Spa looks like a portal to another world — a lush place to shut away the world and get some quiet respite from life’s humdrum.
Male and female guests are welcomed, with separate amenities, lockers, bathroom, and rooms for massages to ensure maximum privacy.
Having seen pictures online, I was really looking forward to the hot pool! Without hesitation, I changed out into the bathrobe provided and dived into a morning of indulgence.
Spa Pools
While the ladies pool may not be as big as the men’s, it was still comforting and relaxing to take a dip into the jacuzzi. We went at about 10 am in the morning, and thankfully, I was the only one prancing around the place. It consist of a medium-sized jacuzzi in the middle, shower areas, a small sauna room, and two treatment rooms.
I took my time to enjoy the bubbles, placed my feet above the water jet for a good foot reflexology, and could not resist taking a couple of Instagram stories of my vain reflections on the surrounding large mirrors.
I the men’s pool is slightly bigger though, with a extra cold pool that you could jump into after taking a dip in the jacuzzi or when you’re out of the sauna room. If you’re not in a hurry, you could spend the bulk of your time here.
Massage Rooms
If you’d like a bit more privacy, you could have a single room to yourself while you enjoy a massage. And if you’re going with a loved one, you could book a couple room to have your knots kneaded away.
The couple room comes with shower facilities and a bathtub to soak away while enjoying an intimate, quiet time together. An ideal anniversary idea ain’t it?
I got myself a Gateway To Vitality (starting from 60 Mins – $ 155 Non-Member, $ 122 Member), essentially a deep tissue body massage that works on the pressure points to flush out toxin. Props to my masseuse who was super dedicated at loosening my tensed muscles and shoulders, which left me fully relaxed at the end of it.
When you’re done with your massages, facials, and soaking in the pool, you could catch a wink at the Relaxation Lounge.
You could choose to curl up at the tranquil “outdoor” area that is filled with faux trees and bird cages, which spanned across half the corridor near the entrance of the spa, or chill in a dimly lit room featuring a mermaid water feature to amp up the ambience.
The plush chairs can be fully reclined at the touch of a button, so you could lie down comfortably. It also comes with a television and head set to keep you entertained.
Cafe
Once in G Spa, they serve free flow food starting from 12pm! Light snacks are avalable throughout the day.
If light snacks are what you’re craving for, you could fill up on siew mai, Glutinous Rice, assorted baos. Perhaps a ham sandwich when you’re still feeling peckish after.
There are mains to get you sorted for a more substantial meal, and a variety of beverages to quench your thirst.
Nothing’s more comforting than having a hearty bowl of Bak Kut Teh to warm your tummy and soul. The broth was adequately peppery and garlicky, packing a good amount of pork ribs in it too.
It came with a side of braise peanuts, along with a bowl of rice. You may specially request to just have the soup alone, then order other items on the menu for a wider variety.
The fried rice came in a generous portion, with a slice of fried egg on top, garnished with fresh parsley and tomato. Each mouthful came with chunks of prawns, crab meat sticks and fish cake were fried in with the rice.
The sweet and sour pork could been cooked better as it was slightly tough in texture, and the rice was a little undercooked. Nonetheless, you could pick from the other dishes from the menu.
The bak chor mee shinned through the most out of the other dishes that we had. The braised mushroom and mince pork was thoroughly infused with flavours, while the noodles remained springy.
Stepping into G.Spa was like entering into an ecosystem or a self-sustainable community, a great hideaway and place where you could definitely call “home” — we’re talking about a space where you could balance your equilibrium, kick back and restore your well-being physically and mentally, whilst having your tummy filled all day and night.
I’d love to come back again to try out the other services like its extensive facial packages, manicure and pedicure, and definitely for its jacuzzi pool.
