Dover Street Market Singapore (DSM SG) is the luxury retailer’s first store in South East Asia and is set to be the one-stop destination for streetwear and high-fashion pieces.
DSM carries more than 15 labels, including cult fashion brands such as Balenciaga, Céline and Gucci. (Check out the store index for the full listing of the brands that DSM SG carries.) It is no wonder that throngs of people crowded outside the store on the day of its opening, waiting for their turn to enter the establishment at Dempsey Road.
Photogenic Spaces
The first thing that will jump out at you is likely to be the Dover Street Market Huts, which were inspired by stalls of London’s Kensington Market in the early 1970s and 1980s. If you were expecting a monochromatic interior, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
The generous use of colours in the interior decor is something that is exclusive to the Singapore store, and the hint of navy, turquoise, brown and mustard on the huts created a rustic vibe.
There are many spots in the store that boast a minimalist and sleek style, great for your Instagram feed. The Steel and Glass Box is one of the many gorgeous architecture displays that Dover Street Market Singapore has to offer.
This innovative Stephen Jones / IDEA display is made of white chairs artfully stacked onto one another, topped with hats. The displays in the store were so carefully put together that I felt like I was visiting a museum.
If you’re a fan of neon signs, you’ll be happy to see that the Undercover segment of the store boasts a pretty fluorescent green sign that says “Chaos and Balance”. Once you’re done marvelling at the aesthetics of the place, don’t forget to check out the exclusive collections at Dover Street Market Singapore.
Here are some of the concepts that you can look forward to seeing in the store:
Nike Lab
NikeLab x Dover Street Market, a curator of high-end fashion, has made its debut in Southeast Asia. Don’t miss the chance to get your hands on exclusive high performance footwear and sportswear collaborations.
NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.0 by Tom Sachs, NikeLab x Pigalle’s and CLOT x Nike Air VaporMax are just some of the high performance and limited edition footwear available in-store.
How can our obsession with millennial pink truly go away when there are so many adorable products in that perfect shade of pink? Yeah, Nike knows our weaknesses.
If you’re looking for apparel, you can also find NikeLab DSM Special T-Shirts. Other store-exclusive merchandise can be found in the DSM Jewellery Space, DSM Sneaker Space and T-Shirt Space.
COMME des GARÇONS Collections
Fans of the Japanese fashion label will rejoice, as there are several COMME des GARÇONS collections available at DSM SG.

One of the notable collections would be Tricot COMME des GARÇONS, a line of elevated knitwear and daytime essentials. Youthful in its aesthetic, this collection appeals to the modern women who like it when their everyday basics come with a little edge.

COMME des GARÇONS Pocket is another collection you shouldn’t miss, especially if you cannot get enough of items with the iconic heart logo. On a side note, Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition in the National Gallery Singapore has been the talk of the town and this concept will make you think of her distinct style, with black polka dots on glass cabinets.
Gucci x DSM
The Gucci x DSM collection is distinct from the rest and will make you feel like you’ve stepped into your grandmother’s tea room, with the pastel pink and green floral wallpaper. Yes, this is a marriage of millennial pink and Gen Z Green.
This pre-fall collection will not let vintage lovers down. There is an abundance of flowers, tigers, fish and other animals in the apparel.
The colours in the collection are also bold and striking. Decking yourself out in some of these pieces will unleash your quirky side and help you stand out in a crowd.

If you are in need of a basic pair of sneakers to complete your basic b*tch look, you should consider Vans. This pair of kicks is going at a whooping price of S$400, clearly showing that you have to have a fat wallet to shop in this store.
Dover Street Market Singapore adeptly combines art and street fashion to make the shopping experience extraordinary. The items available at the store come with hefty price tags and if you’re too broke to afford anything, you can at least get Instagram-worthy shots of the displays.
So if you happen to be in Dempsey for a meal, do drop by Dover Street Market Singapore for window shopping or retail therapy (if you have cash to blow).
