Held at the Peranakan Museum on the first Sunday of every month, Straits Family Sunday is a great, easy, and fuss-free way to spend time with your family.
The theme for the event changes every month, with different interactive activities all relating to Peranakan Culture. Themes for the upcoming months include ‘Come Let’s All Eat Together’ (March), ‘Easter Sunday’ (April), as well as ‘Hey Pretty Lady’ (May).
If you’re looking for some family bonding time, the activities carried out are child-friendly, and suitable for people for all ages.
For next month’s ‘Come Let’s All Eat Together’, you’ll get to make a piece of nyonya ware to bring home, and for ‘Easter Sunday’, bunnies and other animals will be positioned around the exhibits to bring Easter cheer to the colonial building that the museum is housed in.
Other activities you can look forward to include guided tours of the museum with a twist, and interactive drama performances.
So mark your calendars and get ready to spend an enriching day out with your family, at the Peranakan Museum!
